What Makes Me, Me?
There are many things that contribute to our idea of who we are in the world. Our physical body and our mind work together, to create and process our individual experiences.
The many chemical processes happening in your body at any given moment, enable you to function in such complex ways, without even being aware! Our physical body is able to interact with the world around us, it provides us with protection from infection and disease, enables us to move, it can even replicate itself and create new life - pretty cool eh?
While our physical body is busy sensing, our minds are taking all of that information and transforming it into thoughts and signals. Our innate neurology impacts the way our thoughts form and flow, the way we store and process memories, and can alter our emotions.
Both the body and mind come together to provide us with the information we need to understand our experience of the world around us. Throughout our lives, we develop our own ethics and morals - ideas which guide us in how we choose to act (or not), and the decisions we make. We develop understanding of our authentic selves , and the way we show up in the world.
